FAQ for ARC-19304, 19308 and 19316

1: How do I format the hard drive? I couldn't find the function "format" in the DVR.

Answer: On the DVR, click on the "menu" button, then:
"system"> "hdd"> "REC HDD INITIALIZE"> "yes".
This will clear the data inside the hard drive. You will see "99%" or "100%" on live view when this is completed.

2: When the DVR has finished back up video onto a CD, the DVR show up an error message "USB media full or fail. Copy stopped". Is the video recorded onto the disk?

Answer: This is because the data of the recorded video is greater than the CD. For example, you are trying to burn 1GB of video data onto a 700MB CD. You need to power down and up the DVR to remove the error message. There is no way to predict how big the video data is. Yes, the first portion of the video (700MB) is recorded onto the disk. The designer of the DVR is still working on this issue.

3: I can't modify the time. It won't save the value after I changed the time and date. I did click "save and exit" before exiting the system menu.

Answer: You need to click "enter" each time you change the time. Click "save and exit" or "save only" after that.

4: How do I connect the PTZ camera to the DVR? The RS-485 at the back of the DVR doesn’t hold the wire tightly?
